I got back on my bike today after 31 days OTB. I was actually not scheduled to start riding again until Tuesday, but the temptation to ride on a warm, sunny day like today was too hard to resist. The Good
Motivation -- I am so excited to be back on my bike!
Weather -- It could not have been a nicer day.
Color -- I love the colors this time of year as the sun starts to set.
Smell -- For some reason everything smelled great. Maybe being off the bike for so long has heightened my sense of smell.
People -- Everyone that passed me was nice and friendly.
The Bad
Fitness -- It's gone. Period.
Strength -- I lost 4 lbs in 31 days and I am now convinced it was all muscle.
Nutrition -- It's back to Gu's, bars and mixed bottles. I really enjoyed the break from all that nastiness.
The Ugly
Fitness -- It's going to be a long uphill battle to regain my form and fitness.
Strength -- I need to put those 4 lbs back on and then some if I hope to survive this season. I think it's time for me to start measuring my thighs.
Fashion -- It's been so nice fitting comfortably into my jeans for the past month. It's now back to looking and feeling like a stuffed sausage.
Flu shot -- I should not have stopped at the Y at the beginning of my ride as my arm is killing me.
Pain -- I may not be able to walk tomorrow given how sore my legs are.

Did I pass you on the bridge today ? What a day to be out, i was in granny gear the whole way :-)
it won't take as long as you think to get the fitness back
just be patient and don't push it and your thighs will be their usual painful selves in no time
silly girl! you don't lose all fitness in 31 days. yeah, you lost your top end, but you've got lots and lots of base still. just be patient this week and next and you'll be good to go.
oh, and I've got 4 pounds you could have. just send m your mailing address.
;-)
Yeah, I could donate a few pounds too! How is your shoulder feeling?
