While in Arizona, I purchased a set of Inner Peace Cards -- essentially it's a deck of 50 affirmation cards to help you find your own inner peace. I am in a dark, brooding mood today and so I thought I would share a few of the messages. Yeah, I know, I drank too much of the Kool-Aid while in Tucson. My friends and family will probably be jumping on a plane soon to stage some sort of intervention :-)
I live my life in my own way -- You can't go around being what everyone wants you to be, living your life through other people's rules and expect to be happy and have inner peace.
True happiness resides with me -- Most people are searching for happiness outside of themselves. That's a fundamental mistake. Happiness is something that you are and it comes from the way you think.
My positive thoughts create a positive life -- You can reshape your thinking so that you never have to think in negatives again. You and only you choose your thoughts.
I appreciate all that I am, and all that I have -- Stop focusing on what you don't have, and shift your consciousness to an appreciation for all that you ARE and all that you DO have.
What other people think of me is none of my business -- One of the highest places you can get to is to be independent of the good opinions of other people.
I release the need to determine how things "should" be -- If you are suffering in your life right now, I can guarantee that this condition is tied up with some kind of attachment to how things "should" be.
Success is an inside job -- Being relaxed, at peace with yourself, confident, emotionally neutral, loose and free-floating - these are the keys to successful performance in almost everything you do.
I am a worthwhile human being -- You are always a valuable, worthwhile human being - not because anybody else says so, not because you're making lots of money - but because you decide to know it.
I look for the meaning of life within myself -- If you want to find a deeper meaning in your life, you can't find it in the opinions or the beliefs that have been handed to you. You have to go to that place within yourself.
I work on my problems, and I release them -- Anything that bothers you is only a problem within. Only you can experience it, and only you can correct it.
I forgive myself and then move on -- You can sit there forever, lamenting about how bad you've been, feeling guilty until you die, and not one tiny slice of that guilt will do anything to change anything in the past.

we'll have to trade cards sometime. I have two sets -- one a gift to myself when I needed the positive boost, and one a gift from my bf. and sometimes I just flip through them without ever finding meaning.....
I usually read one a day, but I flipped through the entire deck yesterday morning.
It's a cool concept. Another one of those business ideas we should have thought of ourselves and retired in a couple of years with millions in the bank.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.
