Pez Cycling's website has a great article on Knog's, my #1 favorite cycling accessory. I use the Knog Toad for a handlebar light. While it's not necessarily a "headlight" type of light, it has a 5 LEDs that provides ample white light to be seen by cars, two different flashing modes and a steady light.
For an easily visible rear light, the Toad's relative, the Bullfrog, provides similar light, with a vertical, bright red 5 LED light. What separates the Bullfrog from other seat post-mounted lights is the unique angle mount that allows light to project towards approaching cars rather than down at the pavement.
Both the Toad and Bullfrog can be mounted and removed with ease, using the stretchy silicon attachment that wraps around either the handlebar or seat post.
The cheekiest product of all is the Frog, which now comes in a rainbow assortment of colors. They are available in both clear and red LED for front and rear mounting as safety flashers.
If you don't own any of the Knog products, I would highly recommend checking them out. For those in the Bay area, Sports Basement has a large supply of Knog products. More information can be found at the Knog website here.
