Laundry goes upscale

A new laundromat, The Missing Sock Laundry, opened in my neighborhood last week. It has these cool new washer and dryer machines that use debit cards instead of quarters. On your first visit you need to buy a $10 card, with either cash or credit card, that is debited every time you use a washer or dryer and is easily re-loadable when the balance drops down. So no more quarter hoarding for me!

The Marina laundromat is on Chestnut between Divisadero & Broderick and is open form 6 am to midnight! This is the second outpost as there apparently is another location up on Russian Hill.

This is hands down the nicest laundry facility in San Francisco and a real improvement over your average coin op facility. It is clean, well-lit and has free candy. You should give it a go if there is one near where you live.
