There is a bowl of miniature sized Milky Way, Snickers and Three Musketeers bars about 10 feet from my desk at work. No matter how hard I try, it is REALLY difficult to resist the urge to grab something from the bowl every time I walk by. I have tried Tic-Tacs as a non-chocolate, low calorie, low fat, sweet tooth craving alternative, but the problem is that I usually end up eating the entire box in about 5 minutes. The other day I made an impulse purchase and bought a pack of Orbit Mint Mojito gum. I have never been a gum chewer. The flavor is actually quite good, however, the problem is that the flavor lasts for about two minutes and as soon as the flavor is gone, I throw out the old piece and unwrap a new one. With 14 pieces of gum in the box, it took me about half an hour to go through the entire pack!
Does that make me a serial gum chewer? I think I may be better off with the chocolates.

I have this other theory. I guess it's not so much a theory, but life rule: sweets without chocolate are empty calories.
