TDF wrap up

Discovery wins big -- In addition to Contador's maillot jaune and young rider's jersey, Discovery won the team classification, Stages 15 and 19, and had three riders in the top 10 on general classification. Sweet!  Let's hope the team can leverage the wins to help secure a new title sponsor for 2008.

Contador -- impressive performance in his first tour appearance and incredible accelerations on the hills. This guy can climb!

Leipheimer -- won his first ever stage in the TDF by nailing the final time trial. His stellar performance in the TT confirmed his right to the third spot on the podium.

Evans -- A hero in Australia by becoming the first Australian to make the Tour's final podium.

Boonen -- two stage wins and his first maillot vert. He is dreamy AND super fast!

Popovych -- domestique extraordinaire. Strong, aggressive and a top 10 finish! Talk about impressive.

Horner -- Best performance ever in the TDF and a top 20 finish. That should translate into a salary raise or contract extension.

Soler -- the Colombian climbing sensation wins the polka dot jersey.

Valverde -- finished the TDF for the first time in his third appearance.

Barloworld -- Confirms it's wild card entry with two stage wins.

Doping -- Despite all of the controversy, the controls are getting better and the cheaters are getting caught!

Trek -- sweet new Madone. Love the redesigned bottom bracket, asymetrical chainstays and integrated headset. I think I need one.

Leash laws -- with dogs causing two crashes, perhaps it is time for the French to impose some leash laws.
