Perfume: The Story of a Murderer Wow, what a film. Despite "perfume" being in the title, this is NOT a chick flick. In fact, I think it will appeal equally to both sexes. The movie is based on Patrick Süskind's best-selling novel about a man who is obsessed with creating a perfume that captures the essence of a woman. And he will stop at nothing to obtain it -- not even murder. The movie is intense, dark, disturbing and has a surprising ending. This film is definitely not for everyone, but the superb performance by the dark, warped serial killer should make this thriller a worthy addition to your Netflix queue.
